RAID's Festival of Frights is live: fuse Orynyx Mindcrawler until 6 November, hunt Harvest Jack's pumpkins
RAID's Halloween season is live. Fuse the Legendary Dark Elf Orynyx Mindcrawler until 6 November with four Primus Atalact, and hunt Harvest Jack's pumpkins. Here's every Fragment source, including two that close today.
Updated 26 October 2026.
RAID: Shadow Legends' Halloween season, the Festival of Frights, is live, and if you want its new Legendary there's a deadline today. Plarium announced the festival on Steam on 22 October. The centrepiece is Orynyx Mindcrawler, a Dark Elf Support you can fuse until 6 November, with a pumpkin hunt hosted by Harvest Jack and a redesigned Bastion running alongside him.
Two of the Fragment sources feeding that fusion, Summon Rush I and Gear Enhancement Event I, close today. Skip both and the maths gets tight quickly, so if you only read one section, make it the section on spare Fragments below.
Press coverage of Plarium's announcement puts the whole festival at 22 October to 10 November 2026. That end date comes from reporting on Plarium's press release rather than Plarium's own site, but it hardly matters for Orynyx: his 6 November deadline is the one to plan around. Version 11.85 also went live on 22 October, the same day as the season and the fusion.
Orynyx Mindcrawler fusion: what it takes
Orynyx Mindcrawler is a Legendary Support champion with Magic affinity from the Dark Elves faction. You can fuse him from 22 October until 6 November.
The recipe is four copies of Primus Atalact, an Epic DEF champion with Void affinity from the Lizardmen. Summoning all four takes 400 Primus Atalact Fragments, and Plarium is handing out 475 across special Events and Tournaments. That's 75 Fragments of breathing room, which sounds comfortable until you notice how many sources are already behind you.
What we can't tell you yet is whether he's worth the grind long term. Plarium hasn't put his skills in the fusion announcement, and Orynyx isn't on the tier list or in the champions database yet. We won't rate him until his kit comes from an official source.
There's also an Orynyx Fusion Pack in the Shop, added on 22 October to give your fusion a head start. It's a paid offer and Plarium hasn't listed what's inside, so check the contents in the Shop before you spend anything.
Today's deadline and how much slack is left
Every Event and Tournament starts and ends at the same in-game time for all players, so Plarium recommends checking the Events or Tournaments window to see end times in your local time zone. Do that now, because two sources are about to close.
Gear Hunters Event I and the Dragon Tournament have already finished. If you missed both, 50 Fragments are gone and your cushion is down to 25. Summon Rush I (x50) and Gear Enhancement Event I (x25) end today. Once they close, everything left on the schedule adds up to 350 Fragments, so if you're starting from zero you need at least 50 from those two before they end to stay on track for 400.
The schedule itself adds up cleanly: the 8 Events give 250 Fragments and the 8 Tournaments give 225, matching Plarium's 475 total. The three x50 slots, both Summon Rushes and the Champion Chase Tournament, carry 150 of those Fragments between them. Those are the ones you can least afford to miss.
The last sources, Gear Enhancement Event III and the Spider Tournament, close on 4 November. The fusion itself closes two days later, on 6 November, so if you're short by the 4th, there are no listed Fragment sources left to make up the gap.
Fragment Events (250 Fragments)
Here's the Events side in date order, with what's already gone marked:
- Gear Hunters Event I: 22–25 Oct, x25 (ended)
- Summon Rush I: 23–26 Oct, x50 (ends today)
- Gear Enhancement Event I: 23–26 Oct, x25 (ends today)
- Summon Rush II: 27–29 Oct, x50
- Gear Enhancement Event II: 27–30 Oct, x25
- Champion Training Event: 30 Oct–3 Nov, x25
- Gear Hunters Event II: 31 Oct–3 Nov, x25
- Gear Enhancement Event III: 1–4 Nov, x25
Fragment Tournaments (225 Fragments)
And the Tournaments, where Champion Chase is the big one:
- Dragon Tournament: 22–25 Oct, x25 (ended)
- Champion Training Tournament: 24–28 Oct, x25
- Ice Golem Tournament: 25–28 Oct, x25
- Classic Arena Takedown I: 25–28 Oct, x25
- Fire Knight Tournament: 28–31 Oct, x25
- Champion Chase Tournament: 30 Oct–2 Nov, x50
- Classic Arena Takedown II: 31 Oct–3 Nov, x25
- Spider Tournament: 1–4 Nov, x25
Gearing Orynyx and Primus Atalact
No new artifact sets were added between versions 11.40 and 11.85, so the Halloween season brings no new gear to farm. You'll be building both champions from the existing 69-set list. Run them through the gear optimiser once they're in your vault.
Harvest Jack's Pumpkin Hunt
The festival's other big draw is a pumpkin hunt. Plarium says Harvest Jack has hidden pumpkins for you to find, and finding them earns rewards. Press reports add that the pumpkins are scattered across the game's whole interface, that reaching milestones in the hunt earns exclusive cosmetics, and that tracking down every last one gets you a commemorative Achievement Badge.
Still unconfirmed: the hunt's exact dates, the total number of pumpkins and the full reward list. Check the in-game event window for the hunt's timing.
Plarium CEO Dmytro Grytsenko, quoted in press coverage, pitched the season as:
"a Halloween experience worthy of Teleria and the amazing Raid community"
Harvest Jack and the GETJACK code
Harvest Jack himself first turned up as a Fusion champion in RAID's Halloween 2019 event.
If you're starting a fresh account this month, there's a shortcut. The official RAID site says the code GETJACK can be used this October to get Harvest Jack. It only works on new accounts, and the page doesn't say when redemption closes, so we'd redeem it sooner rather than later. Existing players can keep an eye on the RAID codes page.
Tartarus and Vott boosts
Press reports also mention boosts during the festival that improve your chances of pulling two other Legendaries, Tartarus the Oarsman and Vott Head-lopper. Neither the type of boost nor the timing has been detailed officially yet.
The festival isn't in the events calendar yet, so treat the lists above as your schedule for now. For everything else, head to the RAID hub.
