Watcher of Realms Legendary Summoning Crystals: every free source, and how long 20 really takes

Which free routes are worth your effort, which are a grind for a single crystal, and where to point a stockpile once you've built one? A ranking of every source by what it actually costs you.

Thirty days of logging in to Watcher of Realms gets you exactly one Legendary Summoning Crystal. One. If you were hoping for a quick route to a guaranteed Legendary, it pays to stack every free source below.

The crystals feed Divine Summons, where they can bring up an Epic or a Legendary hero. A Legendary is guaranteed on the 20th summon, so 20 crystals is the number to plan around.

Daily Sign-In pays the steadiest bill

Sign-In hands out crystals on set milestones: 1 on Day 30, 1 on Day 60, 2 on Day 90, 1 on Day 120, 1 on Day 150 and 2 on Day 180. That's 8 across the first 180 days. Day 210 pays 2, and the Day 181 to 210 stretch then repeats indefinitely.

Missing a day doesn't wipe your progress; the track simply carries on where you stopped. So this one costs you nothing but a habit.

Hidden Chamber shards add up to a crystal

Tower of Deception resets every 4 calendar weeks, taking your stage progress and rewards with it. Hidden Chambers 1 to 4 each list 5 Legendary Summoning Crystal Shards, and Hidden Chamber 5 lists 10. That's 30 shards, which is exactly one crystal.

To convert them, go to Camp > Storage and press Use on the shards. Boss and Hidden Chamber stages make you pick challenge modifiers, and rewards depend on the most modifiers you select in an attempt. Recommended BP runs from 550,000 to 1,000,000 across the five chambers. Check the tier list when you're deciding who to build for it.

Arena: one crystal a week, if you can pay

The Arena Shop sells 1 Legendary Summoning Crystal for 800 Arena Coins, limited to one and restocking every 7 days. Each win earns 3 coins, so 800 coins is 267 wins. Ranked rewards also pay Arena Coins, separately from wins.

The Apex Shop also lists a crystal, at 3,000 Apex Coins, with a limit of 3.

The one-offs: what's worth chasing

Hero's Path XIV pays 10 shards as its Chapter Completion Reward, a third of a crystal. If you're on that chapter anyway, take it; I wouldn't reshape your account around it.

The Secret Achievement for getting a crystal through Magic Rainbow Surprise, the cooking function with Lili on the camp screen, is a bonus for something you'll do anyway, so don't chase it.

Redeem codes can pay out Rare Summoning Crystals and Diamonds (Wor601 is one example). Those are Rare crystals, not Legendary, so check the codes page regularly.

The real prize is events. The 2026 3rd anniversary offered up to 137 free summons via events and daily log-ins, so keep the events calendar open.

The sums: how long until 20?

After Day 180, sign-in gives 2 crystals per 30 days. The first five Hidden Chambers give 1 per 4-week season. That's about 3 a month without Arena. Add the weekly Arena Shop crystal and it's about 7 per 4 weeks.

So 20 crystals takes about 7 cycles, roughly 6 months, without Arena. With Arena it's about 3 cycles, roughly 12 weeks. That faster figure assumes you can afford the 800-coin crystal every single week, which, at 267 wins per crystal, is a big ask.

Where to aim a stockpile

My default: bank crystals until you hit 20 and cash them in together, because the guaranteed Legendary is the only certainty you get. Aim them at Crazy Divine Summon, which runs weekly and doubles the Legendary chance on these crystals.

The alternatives are narrower. Nascent Divine Summoning guarantees the first Legendary you pull is one you don't own. Special Divine Summon, also weekly, leaves the chance alone but favours featured heroes, so use it only when the featured hero is the one you want. The basic Divine Summon has no rate modifier, so skip it for a stockpile.

FAQ

How many shards make a Legendary Summoning Crystal?

Thirty. Open Camp > Storage and press Use on the shards to assemble one crystal.

Does missing a Daily Sign-In lose my crystal progress?

No. The track resumes from where you left off, so a skipped day doesn't reset anything.

How many Legendary Summoning Crystals guarantee a Legendary?

A Legendary is guaranteed on the 20th summon with these crystals.
