Empires & Puzzles pity system: your daily pull isn't feeding the Fated Summon bar

A Legendary of your choice waits at the end of a bar, but your free pulls won't get you there. Here's where to spend instead, with the November dates to plan around.

Your daily summon is a nice freebie. It does nothing for your pity. In Empires & Puzzles the Fated Summon is a bar that rises with non-Legendary summons, and at the end of it you claim a Legendary of your choice. No dice. The publisher itself calls it a built-in pity system, and I plan around it before I plan around luck.

What fills the bar, and what doesn't

Non-Legendary summons push it up. Daily and Mystic summons don't. That's the bit people miss: they keep opening the free daily pull, assume progress is being made, and wonder why the bar sits still.

So treat the daily as pure upside.

Pick for the gap, not the crowd

The list that ran 17 January to 16 July 2026 had Eron, Relius and Cecilia as its three most selected. That tells you what the crowd wanted. It doesn't tell you what your roster needs.

Check the candidates on the hero pages, run them past the tier list, and pick the gap in your team, not the headline name. A third copy of a role you already own is a poor use of a guaranteed Legendary.

Odds: read them in the portal

Every portal's odds table sits behind the info button in the upper left corner. Open it before you spend.

Two rules of thumb help. Focused pools give better odds at a specific target than the broad Epic Hero Summon. And Hero of the Month is a chance bonus draw from Epic Hero, Elemental and various limited-duration summons, so those are the portals to chase it through.

Colour is the easiest way to narrow things down. Elemental Summon cuts the Epic pool to one element and adds a Featured Legendary, so it's my default when a single colour is the hole in the roster. Super Elemental goes wider on that one element and drops Classic heroes, and you can pay for it with Super Elemental Coins from the Contest of Elements, which runs 2 to 6 November at 7:00 UTC.

Instant Power heroes arrive already ascended. If you want a Fated pick to be useful without a long build, that's worth weighing.

Spend coins before gems

Season and event portals are the most free-to-play-friendly, because you can pull them with coins earned from their own stages. Season portals also carry an increased chance for Legendary heroes. Atlantis Summon costs 100 Atlantis Coins per summon, and season portals in general cost 100 of that season's coins.

Untold Tales I and II rotate every 4 days, so the window to spend their coins keeps moving.

Tower Summon is another route: 100 Tower Tokens per summon.

The Costume Chamber is the one to line up now. It runs 28 October to 1 November, then again 9 to 13 November 2026, both at 7:00 UTC, per the November calendar. Dates are also on the events page and the wider calendar.

If you're holding gems for one moment, Black Friday runs 23 to 30 November at 7:00 UTC. Its summon pulls from recent event heroes and costumes as well as old Heroes of the Month, and it leaves Classic heroes out. That's a reasonable pool to spend on, though I'd still rather spend coins first.

My call: spend season coins and Tower Tokens before you touch a single gem.

FAQ

Do daily summons count toward Fated Summon in Empires & Puzzles?

No. Daily and Mystic summons sit outside the bar, so use them as free pulls and don't expect them to move it.

Where do I find summon odds in Empires & Puzzles?

Open the info button in the upper left of the portal you're about to use. Each portal has its own table, so compare before you spend.

Which portals are best for free-to-play summoning?

Season and event portals, since coins from their stages pay for the pulls. Season portals also have a boosted Legendary chance.

Can I get Hero of the Month from any summon?

It arrives as a chance bonus draw from Epic Hero, Elemental and various limited-duration summons.

Guild chat is the first thing I open in the morning and the last thing I check at night. I play Hero Wars and Empires & Puzzles mostly for guild wars and alliance events, and I'm the one reminding everyone the free chest resets at midnight. If an event is worth your stamina I'll say so, and if it isn't I'll say it louder. Spotted a mistake? hello@gatchanews.com
